Lionel “Bush” “Turtle” Thomas, 61, a native of Thibodaux, La., and resident of Escondido, Calif., died Saturday Sept. 18, 2010.
Mr. Thomas was Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Thomas; son, Kenneth Coleman; daughter, Clairenda Thomas and fiancé Joseph Richard; adopted daughter, Ashonda Lisenbee; sisters, Lois Joseph and Diane Martin; brothers, Lloyd (Tammy), Ronald (Martha), Michael (Marilyn) and Larry Thomas; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27 at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery at Lafourche Crossing, La.
