Local lawmakers’ pre-filings a mixed bag
March 25, 2010Lolette Bond Robert, 85, a native of Melville, La., a resident of Raceland, La., for 50 years and, most recently of Baton Rouge, La., died at home on Monday, March 15, 2010.
Mrs. Robert retired after teaching at Raceland Elementary School for 25 years. She was a graduate of Cheneyville High School and Southwestern Louisiana Institute – now University of Louisiana-Lafayette.
She is survived by her daughter, Lettye (Adrian) Harris of Baton Rouge; son, Dr. John (Claire) Robert Jr. of Lafayette; three grandchildren, Leslie (Glen) LaBorde, John III (Lauren) of New Orleans, and Dr. Elizabeth Claire Robert of Nashville, Tenn.; and two great-grandchildren, Mignon Eloise LaBorde and Lucille Claire Robert.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, John L. Robert; and parents, Myatt and Marie Falkenheiner Bond.
Her family extends its thanks to Drs. Judd Patten, Steven Gremillion and Richard Robichaux, the Church of the Way, and the oncology unit staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center for their care and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Way-Presbyterian.
She is buried at Resthaven Gardens of Memory in Baton Rouge.
