Lorene Upchurch LeBlanc, 85, a native of Grant, Okla., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, July 26, 2007, at 8:01 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Morris Anthony LeBlanc; two sons, Tracy LeBlanc Sr. and his wife Victoria Degate LeBlanc, and John David LeBlanc and his wife Lori Boquet LeBlanc; one son-in-law, David Ledet; two sisters, Norma Aline Huber, and Eddie Louise Andrus; eight grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie Lee Upchurch and Emma Hervey Upchurch; one daughter, Jane LeBlanc Ledet; and one sister, Betty Jo Tew.
Lorene was a devout Baptist and a member of First Baptist Church of Houma. She was a devoted wife for 66 years to her loving husband, Morris. She was retired from Sears.
Visitation is Monday, July 30, 2007, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 31, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Chauvin Funeral Home. She will be buried at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery in Houma.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
