Louise Theresa Quick Callahan, 78, a native of Chacahoula, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died at 5:10 p.m. Thursday, June 5.

Our adored and cherished mother was called home to be with her husband, J.C., less than a week after his death.

She is survived by her daughters, Christine Hebert and husband, Richard, Darnell Burkett and husband, Billy, Joretta Landry and husband, Ron, and Janna Positerry and husband, Kerrel, of Houma; grandchildren, Ricky Hebert and wife, Tara, Nicole Pierce and husband, Kip, Holly Griffin and husband, Miles, Richelle Bergeron and husband, Jason, Raequel Hebert and companion, Lee Rembert, Jerome “Pepe” Chauvin Jr. and wife, Alanna, Renae Neil and husband, Denny, Kallie Williams and husband, Ed, Rachael Hebert and husband, Kiley, Katie Positerry, Ryan Hebert and wife, Chrissy, Rebecca Harrall and companion, Jermaine, Ashley Burkett and companion, Cullen, Matt Burkett, Monique Wright and husband, David, and Michelle Verrett and husband, Danny; 37 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Quick and wife, Melva Quick, of Houma; sisters-in-law, Pearl Quick, Dolly Callahan and Harriett Callahan of Houma; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Clarence “J.C.” Callahan; her parents, Sidney and Louise LeBlanc Quick; brothers, Emile, William Sr., Louis, Herbert and Sidney Quick Jr.; and sisters, Eunice Robichaux, Marie Bergeron and Mae Quick.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family with lots of love and kindness. She was a caregiver to the elderly and anyone else who needed a shoulder to lean on. She was a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.

She was buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
