Trivia players provide friendly benefits with competition

Lucius “L.J.” Chauvin Jr., 77, native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011.
Mr. Chauvin was a U.S. Army veteran and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Chauvin; sons, Michael (Janet) and Scott (Stacie) Chauvin; sisters, Shirley Burnet, Gertrude Byrd and Virginia Veezier; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucius Sr. and Olivia Chauvin; son, Kevin Chauvin; and sisters, Evella Chauvin, Genevieve Eschete and Ella Champagne.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at Falgout Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Falgout)
