Lucius Pierre Belanger, 97 a native of Chauvin, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, May 5, at 7:35 p.m.
He is survived by his daughters, Evelyn DeLaBretonne and husband John of Houma, and Haydie Foret and husband Elray of Houma; son, Lucius “Pat” Belanger of Destrehan, La.; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Haydie Marie Hebert Belanger; parents, Amon Numa and Celina Lapeyrouse Belanger; sister, Louise B. Landry; brother, Hubert “Skipper” Belanger; daughter-in-law, Linda Belanger; and two infant grandchildren.
He was Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He was the owner of LPB Towing Co.
Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
