Lafourche permit office tries to stymie
April 21, 2011Lucy Jeanne Verdun LeBlanc, 87, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, April 15, 2011.
Mrs. LeBlanc was a member of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed cooking, sewing and was a loving grandmother.
She is survived by her sons, Terry and Johnny (Robin) LeBlanc; daughters, Betty (Lance Sr.) Duplantis and Marlene Berger; nine grandchildren, Lance Duplantis Jr., Tammy Welter, Peggy Billiot, Tony Gautreaux, Mike Blanchard, Shantel, Gavin and Scotty LeBlanc and Jeremy Blanchard; 14 great-grandchildren, Kasey and Tyler Duplantis, Brittany and Elizabeth “Lizzy” Billiot, Landon, Kelsey, Jordon, Brianna, Hannah and Emma LeBlanc, Cade and JoAnna Gautreaux, Emma LeBlanc and Cali Blanchard; and brothers, Louis, Nelson and Oscar Verdun.
She was preceded in death by husband, Eddie Joseph LeBlanc; parents, Victor and Louise Champagne Verdun; brothers, Freddie, Frank and Edwin Verdun; and sister, Marie Cavellier.
She is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
