Luella “Chunk” Hadrick Kennedy, 90, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, March 6, at 1:07 a.m.
She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Kennedy Coleman, Olevia Kennedy, Louella Kennedy Winston and Harriet Matthews of Thibodaux and Gloria Dean Kennedy Jones of Avondale, La.; sons, Curtis Kennedy and Calvin Kennedy of Thibodaux, Robert Kennedy of Lake Providence, La., Danny Kennedy of Vacherie, La., and Jerome Kennedy of Lafayette, La.; sisters, Delores R. Dabney and Rosetta James, both of Thibodaux; stepdaughters, Lorraine England and Lavetra Kennedy, both of Avondale; 51 grandchildren; 105 great-grandchildren; and 34 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Kennedy; parents, Robert and Ella Hadrick; stepfather, Charleston Robinson; sons, Loris Kennedy and Warren Kennedy; brother, Warren Robinson; sisters, Beatrice Joseph and Naomi Lang; and grandmother, Dilsey Johnson.
She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Thibodaux. She was also a member of the Golden Age Club. Her hobbies included fishing.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday March 14, at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at the Calvary United Methodist Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
