Lura Mae Duplantis, 70, a native of Dulac, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Monday, April 14, at 12:45 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Larry J., Craig, Wade and Kevin Prestenbach and Clifford Chandler; brothers, Jerry and Billy Duplantis; sisters, Mary “Shorty” Duplantis and Veronica Maronge; daughters, Susan and Dorothy; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Duplantis and Ida Chaisson Duplantis; son, Keith Mark Prestenbach; brothers, Wedges, Kenneth and Bruce Duplantis; and sister, Mary Jane LeBlanc.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma with the funeral to follow. She will be buried at Roger Cemetery in Houma.
Samart Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
