Nicholls State pays tribute to 1998 baseball champs

Lurenda “Lee” Marie Hester Clark, 47, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Wednesday, April 23.
She is survived by her husband, Elray Clark of Raceland; mother Dorothy L. Hester of Raceland; son Jemar Hester of Raceland; stepson, Micheal Brown of Raceland; brothers, Nolan Hester Jr. of Thibodaux, La., Anthony Hester, Ron T. Hester and Alvin Smith of Raceland; sisters, Laura H. Toussaint, Angela Boyd, and Denise Washington of Raceland, Debra Hills and Paula Smith of Thibodaux and Charlotte Richard of Houma, La.; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father, Nolan Hester Sr.; brother, Henry Hester, and sister, Linda Raymond Bergeron.
She was a member of Greater New Fountain Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Greater New Fountain Baptist Church in Lockport, La., with a religious service to follow. She will be buried at Brooklyn Cemetery in Raceland.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of the arrangements.
