
Odomes’ lifelong friend to testify against him

August 29, 2011Mabel Allemand Chauvin, 90, a native of Lockport, La., and resident of Mathews, La., died at 11:33 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2011.
Mrs. Chauvin was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Mathews.
She is survived by her daughters, Becky (Steve) Walker and Nancy (Randy) Breaux; sister, Dora Sevin; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Zenon Chauvin; parents, Lubin Sr. and Lucia Allemand; son, Michael Chauvin; brothers, Alvin, Lubin Jr., Herbert, Norman, Lawrence and Nolan Allemand; and sisters, Emelda Hebert, Maude Bourgeois and Clara Danos.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27 at St. Hilary Catholic Church with services to follow. Burial will be at Resurrection Memorial Park in Mathews. (Falgout)
