Mack Charles Morris Jr., 59, a native of Assumption Parish, La., and a resident of Channel View, Tx., died Thursday, March 12, at 12:15.
He is survived by his devoted companion, Lisa Brown of Channel View; mother, Eva Mae Burdis Morris of Napoleonville, La.; daughters, Felicia Smith and Michelle Smith of Napoleonville and Shenita Morris of Gray, La.; sons, Demetrus Brooks of Napoleonville, Eric Morris of Thibodaux, La., and Keylin Morris of Gray; stepson, Felix Brown of Channel View; sister, Doretha Diggs of Napoleonville; and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mack Charles Morris Sr.; brothers, Tyrone Morris and Lee Morris; sister, Gaynell Truehill; grandparents, Eva Burdis and Frank Burdis and Matilda Coleman and Charles Mack Morris.
He was Baptist and a U.S. National Guard Veteran. He loved animals, watching TV and fishing.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 21, at New Belmont Baptist Church in Labadieville, La. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday church with burial at the church cemetery.
Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
