Protection vital for future, locals tell Mabus
August 17, 2010Marguerite Crochet Giroir, 81, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bayou Black, La., died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010.
Mrs. Giroir was a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Ralph) Guidry; son, Keith (Lana) Giroir; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and brother, Edward “Tony” Crochet.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kurman Joseph Giroir; parents, Viltress and Annalee Bergeron Crochet; four brothers, Paul, Charles, Harold and James Sr. Crochet; and two sisters, Rita Martin and Rosemary Bergeron.
She is buried at Bayou Black Cemetery.
