Maria Avalon Lovell, infant who lived 18 hours and 34 minutes, died from a lethal birth defect at 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, July 29.
She is survived by her parents, Jonathan David Lovell Sr. and Theresa Pontiff Lovell of Chauvin, La.; two brothers, Jonathan “J D” Lovell Jr. and Brandon Lovell; two sisters, Tiffany Lovell and her twin sister, Matilyn Lovell; her maternal grandfather, Edward Pontiff; and her paternal grandparents, John and Eula Mae Lovell.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary “Evelyn” Pontiff; and her cousins, Matthew Pontiff, Frank Lovell and Justin Lovell.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, August 2, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with mass to follow. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
