July 14, 2011Marie Agnes Eschete, 82, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Chauvin, La., died Monday, July 11, 2011.
Mrs. Eschete was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She was a devoted Eucharistic Minister for the sick of St Joseph Catholic Church and a religion and French teacher. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dudley Eschete; sons, Allen (Johnny), Wayne (Patsy) and Donald (Janice) Eschete; daughters, Charlene (Jerry) Ryman, Sandra (Kurt) Lirette, Barbara (Lynn) Firmature and Mary (Leslie) Lapeyrouse; sister, Theresa Blanchard; 19 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Agnes Bergeron; grandparents, John Martin, Annette Portier and Darbigny Domangue; and one infant son.
Burial was at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
