
Biddy leaguers storm Thibodaux for tourney

Markeshia “Beezs” Watkins, 18, a native and resident of Labadieville, La., died Monday, March 3 at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center in Thibodaux, La.
She is survived by her parents, Regina Watkins of Labadieville and Ernest Lee Joseph of Napoleonville, La.; sisters, Brittany Watkins of Labadieville, Mindy Joseph of Jacksonville, Fl. And Nichole Joseph of Baton Rouge, La.; brothers, Adam Troy Watkins of Hammond, La., Ernest Watkins of Labadieville and Roderick Johnson of Napoleonville; maternal great-grandmother, Helen Burdis; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Helen (Lil Bit) Watkins and Adam Watkins Jr.; and paternal grandparents, Viola Stewart and Oscar Williams.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at New Belmont Baptist Church in Labadieville. The 11 a.m. religious service will be conducted by Rev. Johnny Johnson. She will be buried at the church cemetery.
Williams & Southall Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
