
‘N-word’ put to rest in Terrebonne Parish

Mary Robinson Gregoire, 73, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Dulac, La., died Monday, August 6, 2007, at 3:15 a.m.
She is survived by two sons, Gary Gregoire and his wife Maxine and Timothy Gregoire; four daughters, Linda Gregoire, Grace G. Trosclair, Peggy G. Foret and her husband Noah, and Barbara G. Blankenship and her husband Joseph; one brother, Antoine Robinson; five sisters, Eloise Robinson, Lucille R. Parfait, Dorothy R. Williams, Clara R. Duthu, and Veronica R. Fitch; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Junius Gregoire; her parents, Camille Robinson and Lucille Billiot Robinson; one daughter, Jo Ann Gregoire; and three sisters, Emelda R. Billiot, Eva R. Trahan and Alma Trosclair.
Mary was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a homemaker, a member of the Ladies Altar Society.
Visitation is Tuesday, August 7, 2007, from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, La., and Wednesday, August 8, 2007, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Holy Family Catholic Church. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
