Maurice J. Matherne, 52, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Lafourche Parish, La., and Houma, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010.
He is survived by his sisters, Suzanne M. Folse and Charmaine (Joseph) McDurmon; and nephew, Vonn Folse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Nell Bergeron Matherne.
He was a seven year veteran of the U.S. Navy.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
