Melodia Tabor Hebert Pitre, 79, a native of Choctaw, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Wednesday, January 28, at 10:22 p.m.
She is survived by her sons, Shyen Hebert and wife Linda, Brian Hebert and wife Mary, Timothy Hebert and wife Marilyn, and Wayne Hebert; daughter, Kathy H. Borne and husband William; brother, Nolan Tabor; sisters, Joyce Tabor, Vergie Glynn, Shirley Farace, Vernice Benoit, Brenda Richard, Rose Mae Rink and Margie Vicknair; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Delaune Hebert; second husband, Joseph Pitre; parents, Edward Tabor and Elodia Sanchez Tabor; daughters, Caroline Ordoyne and Patty Ledet; and brothers, Lloyd, Marcel, Vincent, Joseph and Roland Tabor.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, January 31, at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
