Michael Joseph Chiasson, 64, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, March 6, 2014.
Mr. Chiasson was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed by Wetland Equipment. His expertise was selling and purchasing parts for marsh buggies and amphibious equipment. He was a member of the North Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marvelene Chiasson; sons, Brent (April), Nathan and Jeffrey Chiasson; daughters, Michelle (Victor) Rogers and Rebecca (Rodney) Esper; brothers, Floyd, Norris, Lloyd, Richard and James Chiasson; sisters, Betty Thibodaux, Mona Sacco, Agnes Gauthier and Angela George; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aurelien and Ella Chiasson; stepmother, Mildred; and sister, Doris Sacco.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 15, at Nicholls State University Donald Bollinger Student Union. (Thibodaux)
