May 2, 2013Mildred Trosclair, 87, a native of Raceland, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Thursday, May 2, 2013.
Mrs. Trosclair was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. She loved to help people and had a wonderful love of education, the Indian people and their culture.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Trosclair Jr.; daughter, Lolita Neil; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Trosclair; parents, Sylvan and Florida Blanchard; daughter, Rosetta Fabre; brother, Hilary Blanchard; sisters, Melva Kreamer and Velma Pellegrin; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, May 5, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Monday, May 6, at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
