January 8, 2014Milton Daniel Bourgeois Jr., 67, a native and resident of Raceland, La., died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013.
Mr. Bourgeois earned a Bachelor of Science degree from LSU and an MBA from Nicholls State University. He served in the U.S. Army as a nuclear/special weapons officer and was co-owner, board chairman and general partner of two oilfield service companies. He was the CEO of Ochsner St. Anne and a member of the American Hospital Association. He loved to tell jokes, travel, garden, read, golf and duck hunt.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Roberta Bourgeois; daughter, Dr. Toni (Dr. Ricardo II) Leoni; parents, Milton Sr. and Rita Bourgeois; sisters, Carolyn (Felton) Robichaux, Deanne Theriot and Cynthia (Dennis) Miranda; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alceste and Adolphine Theriot and Joseph and Cordelia Bourgeois.
Visitation will be 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at St. Mary’s Nativity Church in Raceland with services to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
