Milton “Mitch” Kliebert, 69, died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010.

Mr. Kliebert served eight years in the Louisiana National Guard, was a member of St. James Fire Association and was president of the North Vacherie Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. He was employed by Fabco Inc. in St. James for 36 years, contracted maintenance work to LoCap for 18 years. He loved camping and fishing with his friends.

He is survived by Alice Coleman Kliebert; son, Michael James Kliebert; daughter, Melissa “Missy” Kliebert Granier; daughter-in-law, Ella Douglas Kliebert; son-in-law, Denis Granier; five grandchildren, Olivia, Michael James Kliebert II, Bobby and Bradley, and John Granier; and siblings, Mary Anna Kliebert Laurent, Amelie Kliebert Morvant, Therese Kliebert Folse and Remie Kliebert.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Althea Webre Kliebert.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Phillip Catholic Church at a later date. He was cremated at Ourso Funeral Home.
