Minola Toups

Minola “Minnie” Parra Toups, 92, a native of Galliano, LA. and resident of Thibodaux, LA., died Thursday, March 1, 2007.

Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Cemetery.

She is survived by three sons, Gerard Toups and wife, Kim, Carl Toups and wife, Vickie, and Charles Toups and wife, Chris; two sisters, Mary L. Weimer and Theresa Caballero; six grandchildren, Toby Toups, Mike Toups, Adrienne Viator, Casey Toups, Grant Toups and Melissa Toups; and two great-grandchildren, Abbey Toups and Cooper Toups.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emmanuel Toups; her parents, Charles Claudet and Bertha Delaune Claudet; three brothers, Charles Claudet, Arnold Claudet and Elmer Claudet; and one sister, Bertha Mae Schippleian.

She was a retired teacher of Lafourche Parish School System.
