Monnie (Cricket) Miley, 87, a native of Henderson, Texas, and a resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, Aug. 22, at 8:57 a.m.
She is survived by her husband, Otha Terrell Miley; one daughter, Virginia and husband Gene LeBlanc; one sister, Margene Steel; two granddaughters, Tyre LeBlanc and Jean Renee Taylor and husband Lewey; four great-grandchildren, Lacie Orell, Katie Porche, Torie LeBlanc and Melia Taylor; and two great-great-grandchildren, Leighton Comeaux and Maverick Jambon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George T. and Minnie E. Jones Birdwell; and one brother, Bully Birdwell.
She was a parishioner of First Baptist Church in Houma. She was a member of O.E.S. and a volunteer helper at Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at Falgout Funeral Home’s Chapel with the funeral service to follow. Burial will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home in Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
