LPSO deputies remembered via bike tour
November 25, 2010Morgan Joseph Authement Sr., 92, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, Nov. 22, 2010.
Mr. Authement was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He worked for Texaco as a platform worker and a security guard for Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Department. He was also a self-employed fisherman. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with family and dancing.
He is survived by his wife, Lorita Bourg Authement; sons, Morgan Jr. (Martha) and Kenneth Authement; daughters, Bertha DeRoche and Lisa (Richie) Lazo; eight grandchildren, Tammy Tomboli, Melissa Porche, Terry Authement Jr., Sonja Usry, Michael Authement, Kendall Authement, Kimberly Brien and Luke Lazo; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter, Ava Soileau.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Lucy Naquin Authement; sons, Terry Sr. and Infant Wayne Authement; daughter, Infant Cynthia Authement; brothers, Faquard and Axon Authement; sisters, Leona A. Dupre and Lottie A Lirette.
He is buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
