Mr. Raymond J. Kliebert, 81, a native and resident of Vacherie, La., died Friday, Nov. 20, 2009 at 11:52 a.m.
He is survived by his sons, Ransel, Wesley (Anna), Emery and Timothy Kliebert; daughters, Amanda (Jules) Kreamer, Maranita (Kenneth) Hymel, Luce Kliebert and Keisha Pitre; sisters, Mildred Rodrigue, Alice Mars, Rita Uzee, Nancy Scioneaux, Olga Gravois and Nettie Landry; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the VFW and Vacherie Deer Hunting Club. He was a retired welder who enjoyed hunting and gardening. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
