November 6, 2009Ms. Gertrude Breaux Gilmore, 99, a native of Raceland, La., and a resident of Berwick, La., died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009.
She is survived by her sons, Guy Sr. and David Gilmore; daughters, Kathleen Barrilleaux and Sue Scarbrough; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Alice Breaux; husband, Cecil Gilmore; three brothers; four sisters; and one grandson.
She was Catholic and a parishioner of St. Stephen’s Church in Berwick. She enjoyed many things in her long life but most of all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was Wednesday, Nov. 4, with burial at Berwick Cemetery.
Twin City Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
