November 16, 2009Ms. Gertrude Mary Scott, 85, a native of Chauvin, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 at 8:30 a.m.
She is survived by her son, Alvin (Janice) Scott Jr.; daughters, Enola (Adam) Fanguy, Verna (Steve) Layne and Alisa (Jonah) Frederick; half sister, Mary Brown; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Anthony Scott Sr.; parents, Davidson and Enola Chauvin Kieff; brother, Julius Kieff; sister, Verna Kieff; and two great-grandsons.
She was Catholic and a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Burial was Thursday, Nov. 12, at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
