October 20, 2010Myrle Landry Robichaux, a native of Smoke Bend, La., former resident of Montegut, La., and current resident of Baton Rouge, La., died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2010.
Ms. Robichaux was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Father Maynard Hurst Auxiliary and Catholic Daughters Court of Regina Coeli No. 2063. She was a retiree of the Department of Education, State of Louisiana.
She is survived by her daughters, Marlene (Leroy) Colter and Margaret (Ronald) Rome; sons, Ernest (Ida), Lloyd Jr. (Nancy) and Carl (Arlene) Robichaux; 13 grandchildren, John Colter, Erin Woolworth, Michelle Kallam, Aimee’ Aaron, Mark Robichaux, Claire Latour, Timothy Robichaux, Carol Domangue, Lana Price, Angela Pike, David Bishop, Matthew Robichaux and Mary Robichaux; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd A. Robichaux Sr.; father, St. Martin Landry; mother, Irene Landry; one grandson, Paul Robichaux; two sisters, Maude “Paddy” Mut and Della Bennett; and two brothers, Floyd and Carl Landry.
Pallbearers will be Mark, Timothy, and Matthew Robichaux, John Colter, and David Bishop and honorary pallbearers will be Douglas Woolworth, Darryl Domangue, Robert Kallam, Lanny Latour and Steve Aaron.
A special thanks to Williamsburg Retirement Center staff, Dr. G. Douglas Say, and sitters, Adrell Beverly, Janice Spears and Ava Hebert.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Academy, Catholic High School of Baton Rouge, Vandebilt Catholic High School in Houma, and Hospice of Baton Rouge.
She is interred at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
