April 2, 2014Myron Paul “The Popcorn Man” Rousse, 62, a native and resident of Galliano, La., died Friday, March 28, 2014.
Mr. Rousse was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the United Veterans League, American Legion and was a Lafourche Parish Fire District No. 3 Engineer. He enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking for family and friends, people and life.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Trudy Rousse; sons, Mark (Katie) and Myles Rousse; mother, Rose Rousse; brother, Ted (Celena) Rousse; sister, Meryl (Bob) Duet; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Menton Rousse.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, March 31, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La., and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. (Samart-Mothe)
