Myron J. “Myo” Pellegrin, Sr., 90, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at 3:55 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Imelda Duplantis Pellegrin; three sons, Clyde Pellegrin, Douglas Pellegrin and his wife Jennifer, and Myron Pellegrin, Jr. and his wife Bonnie; four daughters, Mary Lynn and Molly Pellegrin, Loraine Wells and Sophie Theriot; one brother, Elmer Pellegrin; one sister, Bertha “So So” LeCompte, 15 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Linest and Birdie Babin Pellegrin; one daughter, Peggy Pellegrin; one brother, Vernal Pellegrin, and two sisters, Velma LeBeouf and Delores Lirette.
Myron was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. He served four years in the United States Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He owned and operated Myron Pellegrin Boat Rentals for 40 years. He was a loving husband to his wife Imelda for 61 years. He was kind and generous father and he loved to cook. He prepared many pots of jambalaya for Lagniappe Fair and many other organizations. He will be greatly and sadly missed.

Visitation is Friday, July 20, 2007, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of the arrangements.
