Local troops brace for life away from home
January 6, 2010Nancy Smith Richard, 67, a native of Bunkie and resident of Raceland, died at 11:18 a.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2010.
Mrs. Richard was a Sunday school teacher.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Richard; father, Roy Smith; son, Patrick (Carol) Richard; daughters, Cindy (Sonny) Kessler and Kim (Mike) Richard; brothers, Stan (Faye) and Jim (Gail) Smith; sisters, Linda (Horace) Porche and Pam (Eddie) Gaden; six grandchildren and twin grandbabies on the way.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Evelyn Smith.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
