October 23, 2012Nelson Paul Faucheaux, 78, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012.
Mr. Faucheaux was a lance corporal in the U.S. Marines, a home, hook and ladder fireman, a Lion’s Club member, a Knights of Columbus member, and a 1970 graduate of LSU School of Banking. He was employed by Lafourche National Bank for 36 years and was a parishioner of St. Genevieve Church. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed cooking, reading, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beverly Faucheaux; sons, Gordon, Glenn (Lori) and Grady (Nina) Faucheaux; brother, Prudent (Gayle) Faucheaux; sisters, Susie (Wilson) Toups and Juliette (Guy) Perkins; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Faucheaux; parents, Prudent and Inez Faucheaux; sister, Rose Hebert; and brothers, Norman, Herman, Clay and Wilson Faucheaux.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux with mass beginning at 12 p.m. (Landry’s)
