Odette Theresa Cancienne Naquin, 90, a native of Lockport, La., and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Monday, August 6, 2007 at 1:07 p.m.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde J. Naquin; three sons, Clyde Joseph Naquin Jr. and his wife Betsy, Adrian James Naquin and his wife Lisa, and Donald Ray Naquin and his wife Debbi; two daughters, Jacqueline Naquin Mason and her husband Bill and Leila Naquin Guillot and her husband Robert; one brother, Philip J. Cancienne Jr.; one sister, Elsie Cancienne Behrhorst; eight grandchildren, Brenton and Julie Naquin, Jennifer McCollum, Michael Guillot, Lindsay and Drew Mason, and Joshua and Genevieve Naquin; and four great-grandchildren, Lauren, Jackson, Lilly and Alayna.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Philip J. Cancienne and Annette Kerne Cancienne; and one sister, Alma Cancienne Bourgeois.
Odette was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an avid bridge player and porcelain painter. All who knew and loved her will dearly miss her.
Visitation is Friday, August 10, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
