August 14, 2010Ola Chauvin Crochet, 83, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:50 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010.
Mrs. Crochet was employed with L. J. Crochet Towing Inc. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Crochet; daughters, Janice Robichaux Schexnayder, Rhondalyn Crochet Caro, Connie (Floyd Bonvillain) Crochet, Laurell (Charles Sr.) Couvillier and Karen (Thomas) Breaux; brother, Earl (Ruth) Chauvin; sisters, Lois (Miller) Crochet, Rheta Ledet, Elphie Savoie; 10 grandchildren, Chad Robichaux, Tanya LeBoeuf, Angelle Thibodeaux, Cherise Caro, April Hargroves, Andrea Vance, Anita Blanchard, Alisha Blanchard, Brittany Breaux and Lauren Breaux; seven great-grandchildren, Hunter Moore, Chloe Robichaux, Carmeron Thibodeaux, Evan Thibodeaux, Landen Hargroves, Laiken Hargroves and Samantha Vance; three step-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindsey Sr. and Minnie LeBlanc Chauvin; one brother, Lindsey Chauvin Jr.; and two half-sisters, Verdie Chauvin Peebles and Josephine Martin Stoufflet.
She is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
