Lafourche council shoots down Company Canal deal

June 10, 2010Olive Easterly Parsons, 91, a native of Warchula, Fla., and a resident of Bourg, La., died Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 9:11 p.m.
Mrs. Parsons’ greatest joy was family, friends, gardening and flowers. She will be fondly remembered for a godly life, laughter, lemon pies, sock it to me cakes, pork roasts and greens.
She is survived by her daughters, Iris (Robert) Webre and Cheryl (E.J.) Cormier; son, William (Yvonne); brother, Jacob Easterly; sisters, Jessie Farabee; Eldora Walker and Nada Thigpen; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank her care givers Tessie Percel, Joyce Brian, and Theresa Feriera and and to express our appreciation to the staff of Saint Joseph Hospice.
Mrs. Parsons is buried at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
