Paul A. Rousse Jr., 82, a native of Golden Meadow, La., and a resident of Galliano, La., died Wednesday, April 16, at 6:30 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Montia Duet Rousse; sons, Tommie Rousse and Nathan Rousse; brothers, Forrest Rousse, Webb Rousse and Harris Rousse; sisters, Pauline Eymard and Alice Rousse; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Odile Guidry Rousse Sr.; son, Troy Rousse; an infant daughter; an infant brother; and sisters, Aline Cheramie and Earline Cheramie.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was an avid fisherman and oysterman. He was a parishioner of the Open Door Revival Church.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, April 21, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La. A military service will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a religious service at 1 p.m. He will be buried at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
