March 23, 2012Paul Anthony Savoie, 86, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012.
Mr. Savoie was a meat cutter for A & P. He was a very active parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia Savoie; sons, Wyatt (Roslyn), Eric (Sally), James and Matthew (Krista) Savoie; daughters, Marie (Ivy) Brunet, Lorrie (Joseph) Scranton and Kimberly (Brad) Hebert; sister, Valerie Himel; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Antoinette Savoie; brothers, Benjamin and Carrol Savoie; and sisters, Bessie Brunet and Jeanette and Elsie Savoie.
Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, March 16, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, at Annunziata Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery. (Chauvin)
