Peggie Allred Glenn, 71, a native of Manila, Ark., and resident of Morgan City, La., died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012.
Mrs. Glenn worked alongside her husband Joe for more than 30 years as secretary of Joe’s Boots and Work Clothes. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Morgan City where she served as children’s director for many years, taught vacation bible school and Sunday school. She enjoyed painting, wood craft and creating works of art with cypress knees. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe Glenn; mother, Katherine Allred; son, Scott (Angelia) Glenn; daughter, Cindy (John) Welch; brother, Edward Allred; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, E.B. Allred; brother, Morris Allred; and one grandchild.
Burial was at Morgan City Cemetery. (Hargrave)
