Reed Joseph “Pop” Hebert Sr., 55, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Raceland, La., died Monday, November 10, at 7:54 p.m.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon M. Hebert; sons, Reed Hebert Jr. and wife Sherry, Damien Hebert and wife Sarah, and Russell Adams; daughters, Kimberly Hebert and Shelia Jackson; brother, Bernie Paul Hebert; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Hebert and Beverly Bonvillian.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the V.F.W. He was a former employee of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and was a Lafourche Parish bridge tender. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Raceland.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, November 14, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Raceland. A religious service will be at 11 a.m. Friday.
