Reginald “Grip” Lewis, 52, a native and resident of Belle Rose, La., died Tuesday, December 23, at Assumption Community Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Josephine Lewis; two daughters, Makisha Ester and Raekia Lewis; two sons, Jorish Ester and Tremaine Belt; three sisters, Eva Mae Rodrigue, Catherine Gipson and Melanie Belt; eight brothers, Honoray, Bruce, Gregory, Donald, Charles Jr. and Glenn Paul Lewis, and Brandon and Charles Fair; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laura and Charles Lewis Sr.; and one sister, Geraldine Haughton.

He was a former construction worker.

He was buried at Canaan Baptist Church Cemetery in Plattenville, La.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
