Rev. Leroy Williams, 82, a native and resident of Napoleonville, La., died at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center, Wednesday, October 22.
He is survived by his wife, Mabel C. Williams; four daughters and spouses, Mary Ann Williams, Rosetta and Allen Riley, Josephine W. and Elmo Duronslet and Shemicka Jupiter; four sons and spouses, Sullivan and Gayle Williams, Russell and Patricia Williams, James Williams, and Reginald and Doris Williams; one brother, Willie Williams Jr.; 28 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Josephine Williams; one daughter, Leona Heim; one son, Calvin Williams; one granddaughter, Calsha Williams; and one step-grandson, Waldon Howard.
He was assistant pastor of Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 24, at Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville and 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at Bright Morning Star Baptist Church in Napoleonville followed by a religious service. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of the arrangements.
