Rev. Paul Edward Lamkins Sr., 63, a native and resident of Thibodaux, La., died Tuesday, May 5.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Pratt Lamkins of Thibodaux; mother, Rosezetta Williams Turner of Thibodaux; son, Paul Edward Lamkins Jr. of Thibodaux; daughter, Vanessa Rounds of Thibodaux; sisters, Lorraine Morrisey of Baton Rouge, La., and Debra Mitchell of Thibodaux; brothers, Betrand Brickham of New Orleans, La., Thomas Turner, Bobby Ray Turner, Alvin Turner and Ronnie Turner, all of Thibodaux; and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Thomas Turner Jr.; and sons, Devantae’ and Rashard Rounds.
He was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church and a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 8, at Mount Zion Baptist Church in Thibodaux with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Allen Chapel AME Church Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Kennedy Funeral Home in Raceland, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
