May 3, 2010Richard Gierlinski Sr., 85, a native of Warsaw, Poland, and resident of Raceland, La., died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at The Oaks of Houma.
Mr. Gierlinski was a prisoner of war while having served in the Royal Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Eula F. Gierlinski; sons, Richard Jr. and Jeffery Gierlinski; stepson, Jerry (Pat) Hebert; daughter, Jeanne (Don) Williams; stepdaughter, Sandra (Paul) Bouvier; sister, Jeanne Durko; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He is buried at St. Mary’s Nativity Catholic Church Cemetery in Raceland.
