Richard “Pap” W. Adams, 58, a native of Landshut, Germany and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Sunday, June 7.
He is survived by his wife, Grace B. Adams; daughter, Chrystal Dupree and husband Jason Dupree; step-daughters, Ann LeBlanc and husband Nick, and Joelle Rivera and husband Brandon; step-son, Jean Templet and wife Jenny; brother, George H. Adams and wife Gayle; sister, Maria A. Lasseigne; godmother, Hedy Stevens and husband Sonny; grandchildren, Jacee Dupree and Jayden Dupree; cousins, Thomes Stevens and wife Ellen, Robert Stevens and wife Louise and Kelly Broussard and daughter Sonni Ray; nieces, Heidi Hutchens, Angelina Garcia and Emma Lasseigne; nephew, Jared Adams; step-mother-in-law, Lois Adams; five step-grandchildren; two great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson P. Adams and Emma Wackerbauer Adams; maternal Opa and Oma, Georg Wackerbauer and Maria Wackerbauer, paternal grandparents, Harry Adams and Anita Adams, and father-in-law, Curtis Bourg Sr.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, June 12, and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at Thibodaux Funeral Home’s chapel with mass to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
