Ricky John Marie, 56, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Montegut, La., died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014.
Mr. Marie was the heart and soul of Marie’s Auto Parts and Marie’s Wrecker Service in Houma, La. He has been very instrumental in the towing industry in the surrounding area since the 1970’s. He lived each day to the fullest and loved his family, dear friends, employees and most of all his trips to the camp. He was the greatest husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Marie; son, Richard Marie; daughter, Brandi Tanner; father, Robert Marie; mother, Jane Peak; sister, Wendy Marie; stepbrother, Larry Authement; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Marie; and grandparents, Percy and Velma Marie and Israel and Leve Martin.
Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Chauvin)
