Behind basin restoration, Maloz leads
October 24, 2011Ricky “Rick” John Pinell, 60, a native and resident of Montegut, La., died at 1:22 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2011.
Mr. Pinell worked for Main Iron Works for 10 years and Acadian Shipyard for 32 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, but most of all he was a loving husband, dad, paw-paw and friend to all. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Mitzi Pinell; mother, Celina Pinell; sons, Chad (Becky) and Cody (Layla) Pinell; siblings, Luby Sr. and Ernie (Marlene) Pinell and Betty (Carl) and Belinda (Tony) Prosperie; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Luby Pinell; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Aubin Pinell and Mr. and Mrs. Julian Guidry; and brother, Mickey Pinell.
Burial was at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery. (Chauvin)
