Ricky John Pellegrin, 53, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died Friday, Feb. 4, 2011.
Mr. Pellegrin was employed by North American Fabricator as a carpentry supervisor. He was an avid woodworker. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Caffie Thibodeaux Pellegrin; daughter, Lani (Douglas Walling Jr.) Pellegrin; sons, Joshua and Taylor Pellegrin; three grandchildren, Jayce, Hailey and Landyn Pellegrin; sisters, Dianna (Roy) Dutton and Yvonne (Woody) Tregre; and brothers, Bruce Jr. “Beauty” (Sandra) and Brian (Sonja) Pellegrin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce Sr. and Wilma Duplantis Pellegrin; grandparents, Clarence Sr. and Evelina Luke Duplantis, and Levis Sr. and Edna Boudreaux Pellegrin; and one nephew, Roy Patrick Dutton.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the CCU Nursing Staff, especially James, Danielle, Roberta, Shelly, Jean, Ryan, Kelly and all others who showed so much compassion in his time of need.
He is buried at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations to be made to the American Cancer Society. (Chauvin)
