Rita Joyce Sobert, 87, a native of Braithwhite, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Thursday, June 11.
She is survived by her son, Roy Sobert and wife Darnell; daughter, Judy Soignier; grandchildren, Angele Coffman and Andrew Soignier; and great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Olivia and Max.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sobert; parents, Leon and Victoria D’Arensbourg Bourgeois; son-in-law, Bruce Soignier; and brothers, Irwin, Roland, Elmo and George Bourgeois.
Visitation will be 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 16, at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
